Germs, Germs, Stay Away!

Objective: Students will understand the importance of washing their hands and the results of what not washing their hands do to them and others. 

Educational Technology Standard 8: Use technology resources (e.g., calculators, data collection probes, videos, educational software) for problem-solving, self-directed learning, and extended learning activities. 

• YouTube can be a very good tool to have and use the content it has to enhance learning experiences and gain more knowledge. This tool was really fun to use and I think it has some really great potential in helping others when they are struggling or need some more clarification. 
• I think the kids can use this tool for educational purposes and it could help them learn faster. It can be very distracting and time consuming at times so it needs to be used in a very specific way and to help further their education.
• To make sure that they have got the steps for washing their hands. I will give out a writing assignment where they will have 3 steps where they will explain what they do first, second, and then last. This will help them to grasp the concept in a different way by seeing and forming into words what needs to happen.
